This vase is decorated with a continuous scene of a large crowd gathering at a kabuki theater, all in excellent detail. It measures 5" x 1.8" and is in very good condition, with only some minor gilt wear. Gilt Seikozan seal on underside. Circa 1890.

This is one of the largest versions of Kinkozan's mottled glaze style that we have seen and the only one that combines it with a tree bark colored neck.The body is decorated with assorted floral designs in gilt. It measures 12" in height x 6.25" at the widest point on the body. The condition is excellent and it dates about 1900 - 1915.

The panels on this vase alternate between hoho bird and dragon motifs, a representation of marital bliss. All of the gilt and enamel work was executed with fine detail and the vase is in excellent condition, without restoration. It measures 12" x 7.5" and dates about 1880.

This is a fine example of gosu or kinran style Satsuma, decorated with the implements of the Gods of Good Fortune or Shichifukujin. Each medallion represents a different deity. The silver cover is also very well executed with fine detail. It dates about 1880 - 1890 and is in excellent condition. It measures 3 1/3" H x 4 1/4" W.

This a beautiful cubicle box and probably one of the smallest pieces by Ryozan that we have offered. It is a gem, in excellent condition with the only visible wear being on the underside seal. This was likely the result of the a price tag applied over the mark. It measures 2.25" in height x 2.50 diagonally across. On the underside there is a the seal of Ryozan and the Yasuda studio. Circa is about 1900.

This early Meizan bowl has near 100% coverage with a plethora of different scenes and subjects, all beautifully executed. This is a wonderful little ewer decorated with four well detailed panels surrounded by geometric gilt reserves. It bears the gilt seal of Seikozan on the underside. There is some staining near the bottom as it appears that it was once glued to a stand, but there is no evidence of breakage any place on the piece. It measures 3.75" in height x 3.5" in width (inclusive of spout and handle). Circa 1890.

This is a larger bowl than was typically made by Hankinzan, measuring 4" x 7.25". The interior has a restrained decoration of koi and butterflies along with the classic Hankinzan swirling band around the inner rim. The exterior has a single medallion of a social gathering with the balance of the exterior decorated with chrysanthemums, irises, lilies, butterflies and birds. The overall condition is excellent and the is a gilt over black artist's seal on the underside...

The motif of this vase is quite unusual with a farmer working a water wheel in a mountainous rural setting. It is a larger vase by Yabu Meizan standards, measuring 7.25" x 4". It bears a Yabu Meizan gilt-on-gilt seal on the underside and dates about 1900 - 1910. Very good overall condition.

This is an unusual squat form urn by Yabu Meizan, done entirely in Tiffany blue. It sit elegantly on three legs and is in excellent condition, although I'm suspect as to the cover's originality.
