This is a highly unusual piece of Arita crafted with rabbits in relief. The floral work is thickly enameled, causing the flowers to be dimensional as well. Other than some minor surface scratches, there are no chips or restorations to this piece. It dates about 1880 - 1890.

This is a very unusual bowl not only due to the chocolate brown color and interesting floral form, but also because it appears to have been potted in Europe and decorated in Japan. Along with the gold Koransha mark on the underside, there is also a European mark and the porcelain does not appear to be Japanese. Based on the Koransha mark, it pre dates about 1890 and is in excellent condition with just some minor wear to the enamel work. It measures 11.75" x 4".

This is an elegant example of late 19th century Japanese Imari. There are birds in flight near the center with a floral pattern around two thirds of the periphery. It dates about 1870 - 1880 and measures 14 1/4" in diameter. The condition is excellent with little or no wear to the enamels.
