This cloisonne plaque has an elegant feel with subtle coloration in the flower petals. While unsigned, it was likely decorated in the Ando Studio. The condition is very good, with only a few original surface bubbles. It measures 11.25" x 9.25" and dates about 1950 - 1960.

This is a nicely decorated cloisonne vase. Although not signed, the form and decoration are certainly that of the Ando studio. It is in mint condition and measures 10.5" x 4.75". It dates about 1930 - 1950.

This is one of the nicest examples of post-war Satsuma we have seen. We believe it to be late Showa period, however, Sotheby's sold it as Meiji Period in their London sale of November 10, 2005 (sale #LO 5216 Chinese and Japanese Works of Art- part 2.) It was lot number 1156 from that sale. The title cartouche reads, "Shinsen Edo Meisho". The subtitle reads, "Yukibare no zu" (clear weather after the snow) and it is signed Sozan on the reverse side.
