| The band of figures wraps entirely around the vase and it appears depict a Boys' Day procession. There are beautiful reserves on both the upper and lower portions of the vase with the unusual use of white enamel over the gold on top. It is signed Kaburagi kin sei, a kiln more closely related to Kutani, yet the style is definitely Satsuma and the blank is earthenware. It dates about 1880 - 1890 and it measures 3.5" x 2". Overall condition is excellent with some excessive sticker residue on the underside and some age appropriate wear to the gilt on the rim. | |||||||||||
