| This Satsuma plate depicts a busy 19th century Japanese port scene with Portuguese merchant ships and Mount Fuji in the background. The periphery of the plate is decorated with a fastidiously detailed border. The condition is excellent with almost no signs of wear to the gold or enamel. The diameter is 7.5" and it dates about 1890. | ||||||||||
