| This form is a true chawan or ceremonial tea bowl. The exterior is decorated with four fan shaped scenes bordered by very elegantly and richly applied gold work. The interior walls show an outdoor scene, wrapping 360 degrees around the inside of the bowl. The center medallion depicts a warrior on horseback. It measures 4.9" x 3.5" and dates about 1890 - 1900.
