This is one of the nicest examples of post-war Satsuma we have seen. We believe it to be late Showa period, however, Sotheby's sold it as Meiji Period in their London sale of November 10, 2005 (sale #LO 5216 Chinese and Japanese Works of Art- part 2.) It measures 12 1/8" in diameter and is in fine c...

This is an example of Yabu's elegant, more restrained work that he did later in his career. The simplicity by no means detracts from the piece and in fact, it is quite compelling. It measures 2.75" in diameter x .9" in height and dates about 1920. The condition is excellent.

This is an unusual squat form urn by Yabu Meizan, done entirely in Tiffany blue. It sit elegantly on three legs and is in excellent condition, although I'm suspect as to the cover's originality. It measures 5" in diameter x 3" in height, inclusive of the cover and bears the seal of Yabu Meizan in gilt on the underside. It dates about 1910 - 1920.
