These vases have an unusual high glaze blue ground with heavily applied enamel that appears to simulate moriage enamel. Other than some wear to the gold around the rim, the condition is excellent. They date about 1875 and measure 9.9" x 5".

The central theme of this charger is a celebration of Boys Day. There are a plethora of children engaged in many different games and activities. There is some mild handling wear to the gilt and numerous minor original defects to the surface on the reverse side, but the overall condition and presentation are excellent. It measures 12" in diameter x 1.75" in height. The circa is about 1880.

This elegantly decorated tray is featured on page 55 of Louis Lawrence's book, Satsuma: The Romance of Japan. It depicts a springtime scene of young girls at play with their mothers. The overall condition is excellent, less a tiny 2 mm flea bite on the upper right corner. It measures 5.6" x 4.5" and dates about 1900.
